Do we control technology, or does technology control us?

  1. Technology controls us. For some odd reason, many people are just attracted to technology of any sort and could sit in front of a computer screen or TV screen and be there all day and never realize that time is passing by. Its crazy!

  3. Technology controls us because we take it for granted, and we use technology to do things for us instead of doing them ourselves.

  4. Technology controls us because we rely on it and then we think we control it when its going good, but then when there is a problem with it we flip out and then we blame it on the technology.

  5. Technology controls our ways of thinking, but we control the technology.

For example, we invent the technology, but our mental thoughts are processed from the previously invented inventions.

  6. technology controls us (most of the time),
but it can go either way

  7. I think it could go both ways because we do fall under control of technology when we get something new or just do something simple like go on the computer or watch T.V. But you could also say that we control technology because we, humans, created technology. (:

  8. Technology currently controls us, but we COULD control technology if we put our minds to it and made ourselves put down our phones, turn off our computers, and unplug our video games and tvs.

  9. I believe technology is controlling us. I mean how many houses and schools don't have computers? How many T.V.'s do you have in your house? If your cell phone broke how long could you live without it? I know i couldn't last a day. The smart board in science may be cool, but it controls our whole day! The world today needs to realize that one day all technology will be gone. What will you/we do then.

  10. Technology controls us by far. If you were to look at a street in New York or a different busy city, I bet nine out of ten people will have a cellphone.

  11. Well technically we control technology because we are the ones in control of the devices. Until we lose our free will we will always be in control of technology. Yes we are INFLUENCED by technology but we are still in control. This isn't the matrix people.

  12. We control technology because it's not like our technology is forcing us to do things, that's what we do with technology. We might be addicted to technology but it doesn't have control over us.

  13. We do control technology. The fact that we invented technology means we can end technology too. One day technology might overpower us. Today we are in control of technology.

  14. Technically we control technology because we made it and until it can tell us what to do than we control it. And until we create robots that can physically control us then we have control of technology.

  15. We control technology completely. We actually use the technology to our advantage. Even if they do overpower us there is that one button that shuts it all off.

  16. We control technology.
For the most part, because we made it, and we use it, it doesn't work us..

  17. It seems, at times, that we are controlled by technology. Assignments are being assigned on computers and if you can't get to a computer, then you can't do the assignment, therefore, techonology controlled us.

  18. Technology controls us. We may have invented it, but in the end we become obsessed with it, and I don't think there are very many people in the world that could live without it. We depend on it with our every day needs.

  19. Technology controls us because people seem to not leave the house without cell phones because they are so dependent on them. Some people stop in the middle of conversations to text. We are too dependent on the internet and cell phones to get information.

    ReplyDelete
  20. We control technology because we are the one that works it. And the computer or whatever doesnt force you do to things, you make it do it for you, and you can choose watever you want to do on it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think we control it even though we blame it for the mistakes we made using it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Technology controls us because even though we made it, we can't really do anything without it.Like if you were talking to someone and got a text message, you would stop your conversation just to answer your text message or even a phone call.

  23. Technology is a lot of who we are, because what we were and mostly everything that we own, was made by Technology. We rely on technology to much, such as to get information, to manufacture things, and ect.
We can't control technology, but technology can't control us.

  24. Without technology, our lives would be very different. It is both helpful like computers, and harmful like weaponry. We control technology in some ways but the long term effects control us.

    ReplyDelete
  25. We can control technology by doing something with it, like a game, but technology can control what we do or our reactions.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Technology controls us, because without technology, we'd be set back all the way to the stone age. We depend on it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Technology does not control us unless we get addicted. That's when you start doing some real crazy stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  28. This can go both ways because you can become addicted. But you type in everything, and or control everything on technology.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I believe that technology controls us because technology rules our life. We use technology for almost everything we do.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Technology controls us because we are always using it and are always distracted by it.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think we control technology because we can do what we want on it and put it down when we want.

    ReplyDelete
  32. In my opinion, technology is currently controlling us. I believe this because, say your assignment happens to be on the computer, however your internet is down. You are unable to complete the assignment to your fullest potential; therefore technology controls us.

    ReplyDelete
  33. In some aspects we control technology, because we create technology. Sometimes it seems that technology controls us, because we can get addicted to games, apps, and we can get caught up in our work, and it seems like it's too important to get off technology.

  34. I think it depends on the person, if you have someone who doesn't care much or isn't "connected" they won't be controlled by technology. If you have someone who is constantly checking their phone, or on their computer, I think technology controls them.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I feel like some people are controlled by technology if they have every smartphone and tablet out there.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Technology controls us. We become so attached to it, we become dependent on it for everyday lives. Soon, if evolution of technology continues as it does, it will take over the world.

    ReplyDelete
  37. We created technology and we control it, but it ends up controlling us.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Technology controls us because we use it in our everyday lives even if we don't want to and we don't even notice we are using it.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think some people are controlled by it like gamers, but other people have control over it because they can control themselves to not get caught up in it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. We control the technology that controls us. For instance someone had to make GTA V didn't they? Stop and think how much just a simpe little game like GTA V controls us. I have already spent hours on the game and I would go as far as saying it controls me.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If a person is always on the phone or something like that then they are controlled by technology, but if a person does not use technology a lot then they are not controlled by technology.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I feel that technology is controlling us because we cant get
    off our phones.
